Amazon Kindle Fire goes on sale in swipe at iPad

Amazon’s much-anticipated challenge to the iPad began Monday as the Kindle Fire tablet computer became available in the U.S.

The Fire is about half the size of the iPad and is less than half the price. Amazon is offering the Kindle Fire for $199. The bare-bones iPad sells for $499, the most expensive for $829.

With the Fire, the Kindle becomes much more than an e-book reader. The Fire connects to the Web, streams movies and TV, displays comic books and supports thousands of apps, including ones for Hulu and Netflix. It does email, and you can play games on it.

How to play 720P MKV videos on Nook Tablet

In my Blog, there are have two articles about Nook Tablet. Today when I open my Blog backstage have found some people search “Nook Tablet 720P MKV” keywords into my Blog. I think people have about Nook Tablet 720P MKV video playback problem. From my experience I think when people watch 720P MKV videos on Nook Tablet may be have no sound or have no image, More serious is no sound and no image. Some people paly MKV videos does not smoothly. Have this problem, because MKV is container format, it can have different video codec and different audio codec in the format, we know on Nook Tablet can watch videos in MP4, or Adobe Flash Player format, 3GP, 3G2 MKV, WEBM (Video Codecs: H.264, MPEG-4, H.263, VP8), Play audio on built-in mono speaker: MP3, MP4, AAC, AMR, WAV, OGG (Audio Codecs MP3, AAC, AMR, LPCM, OGG Vorbis).

So if we want to watch 720P MKV video on Nook Tablet, must make sure the MKV’s video codec is H.264, MPRG-4, H.263, audio codec is MP3, AAC,etc. Of course you can convert MKV to MP4 for Nook Tablet.
